It isn't limited focal length that restricts the focus, it's limited depth of field.
I get very confused with terminology. LOL
The gal teaching my photography class explained it to me AGAIN>

Very limited focal length, so hard to get much in focus, but sometimes you only want a little bit.
Strange landscapes appear in the most ordinary objects.



You really notice the details in things when you see them out of their usual context.
