The Oregon Coast
There are some quirky things that I find iconic on the coast.
Our Lady of the Dunes church is one of them. Loved finding the old Woody parked near the statue. Made a lovely beach trip tableau.
PELICANS!!!
I lived in California for many years. I miss seeing pelicans at the beach. They don't come very far north. I never see them at Pacific City or Seaside.
We made it down to Port Orford this time- and I got to see lots of pelicans. :)

Hey Zeb! Great photos...all of them! Did you know that there are pelicans in the desert country, too? Between Baker City and Boise...along the Snake River. I think it might be at Farewell Bend. So strange to see them out in the dry country.
Evelyn in NE Oregon
Wow! I didn't know that. Thanks Evelyn. I may have to take a trip out there sometime. It would be strange to see them in dry country.
